Top Ten List for The eBay User

This is the time of year when everyone looks back on the following year and prepares to make changes with improvements for the New Year. Setting goals and New Year resolutions are on the mind of many and Ebayer’s are no exception.

Here is my Top Ten list of Suggestions

1) Spend time on eBay wisely!
Create a plan and stick to it. Write down a navigation plan the day before. Time is far too short and it’s easy to get lost and sidetracked. Stay focused on what you’re trying to accomplish and stick to it!

2) Say A Kind Word and Lend a Hand!
Stop by a discussion board and help out a fellow eBayer. Share your wisdom. If there are no posts that you can help with, then at least say a kind word by leaving a compliment to the last person that posted.

3)Family Comes 1st!
Make sure the kids are fed, the homework is done and/or the grandparents are tended to before getting too involved with eBay “stuff!”
And always walk away from the screen when the family needs you. There will be another auction or an item later. Put your family first!

4) Organize Those Windows!
Bookmark your favorite searches and favorite eBay places to help keep your eBay journey running smooth. Create folders for each area of eBay you’re involved with. This will save you lots of time allowing you to access these pages quickly when you need them.

5) Cut down on Snacks!
Eat less while on the computer. Or at least keep sugar free and/or low calorie items close by. Cut up celery and fruit instead of the chocolate bars. Prepare your computer treats ahead of time and limit yourself to ONLY those. Meaning when there gone, there gone, no more! Or you will get what my husband calls a
“Computer Butt” ((smiles))!

6) Exercise more!
After an hour or so on the computer, go for a walk, jump on the trampoline. Do some sit-ups or do a simple 20 min. workout!

It’s very easy to have time slip by while your on eBay.
I suggest using my “Timer Method!”

7) Reward Yourself!
There are many places to explore within the eBay community. If you’ve been working on listings and/or shipping, explore some of these areas of eBay and use them as a Reward after you’ve met your goals!

A few Fun places to visit include: eBay Match-ups, Neighborhoods and Best of eBay!

8) Write a Guide and/or a Review!
Share your wisdom with other eBayers! Write a guide about something that will help another. Give a review about a movie you recently saw on DVD or some music you listened to. You can write a short review about almost any product on the market.
Search this area and see what you find:
